Alan Barnard, a partner of the company, presented a report on the application of simulation modeling in a large metallurgical holding. The conference program included reports on the application of simulation methods and tools to solve scientific and practical problems in the industry, logistics and other fields of the economy.

Employees of Amalgama company participated at anyLogistix seminar on June 6, 2017 in Moscow, Russia. anyLogistix is supply chain analytics software for designing, optimizing and analyzing supply chain. ALX combines powerful analytical optimization approaches (IBM CPLEX, specialized algorithms) together with innovative dynamic simulation technologies based on AnyLogic. That allows to gain deep insights into supply chain which is not possible with traditional solutions.

Amalgama participated in the 7th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Simulation. Theory and Practice” IMMOD – 2015 that was held on October 21-23, 2015 in Moscow, Russia. IMMOD is the largest Russian conference in the field of simulation, that every two years brings together the leading experts from Russia and near abroad. The conference program included reports related primarily to the field of modeling systems with discrete events and time. Amalgama presented the following reports:

Amalgama participated in the 6th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Simulation. Theory and Practice” IMMOD – 2013 that was held on October 16-18, 2013 in Kazan, Russia. Amalgama company presented two reports:

  • «Discrete-event simulation of underground potash mining operations»
  • «Integration of simulation model and data processing tool in simulation of supply chain alcoholic distribution network».

For the report «Integration of simulation model and data processing tool in simulation of supply chain alcoholic distribution network» the company simulation consultant Andrey Malykhanov was awarded the second prize in the “Best youth report” category.

Amalgama participated in the Winter Simulation Conference 2012 – the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of system simulation. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation practitioners, researchers, and vendors working in all disciplines in industry, service, government, military and academic sectors. This conference has been traditionally held in the USA since 1968, but in 2012 it was held in Berlin, Germany.
April, 2012
Amalgama participated in the VI All-Russian conference of students and graduate students «Strategic lines of development of logistics and supply chain management». The conference was attended by specialists, bachelors, masters and graduate students of leading Russian and Belarus universities with the «Logistics and supply chain management» branch of study. The total number of participators exceeded 160 people. Employees of Amalgama company presented the report “Simulation as a support tool for logistics and supply chain management» in the section «Information technologies and computer simulation in logistics and supply chain management».

Amalgama participated in the 5th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Simulation. Theory and Practice” IMMOD – 2011, that was held on October 19-21, 2011 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The conference was organized by JSC “Center for Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Technology”, the Institution of the Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg Institute of Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian National Simulation Society.
The main objectives of the conference included development and generalization of the theory, methodology and technology of simulation, exchange of experiences, discussion of research results and practical applications of simulation in industry, logistics and other fields of economics, acquaintance with the newest automation and visualization tools, extension of simulation training experience:

  • «Parameters identification of agent models of automobile transport using information of GPS-navigator».

Representatives of Amalgama company visited the 16th international Exhibition and Conference of Transportation and Logistics Services and Technologies «TRANSRUSSIA» that was held on April 26-29, 2011 in Moscow.
